​​NKCHS Fieldhouse for the induction of new members to NKCHS Hall of Fame & Pep Assembly – no charge, no reservations required (Assembly should dismiss around 10:00 am.)

​​8:30 AM Pep Assembly/NKCHS Hall of Fame – Honorees are:

• Dr. Patricia Wolfe – Class of 1952

2:00 PM Homecoming Parade – we are not doing a float this year

5:00 PM Happy Hour at Kelso’s at the corner of Armour & Swift – separate checks

7:00 PM Homecoming Football Gam v. William Chrisman, NKCHS Stadium – pay at the gate - $5.

​Saturday, October 1, 2016

​​11:00 AM - Meet & Greet in the NKCHS Auditorium District leaders will provide an update on the multi-million dollar renovation & expansion of the NKCHS campus which will be underway this fall – no charge, no reservations required.

​​5:00 PM - Celebration Evening at the Argosy Casino & Spay, Riverside, MO.  Fabulous buffet, cash bar, bring your photos & memorabilia to share – display tables provided.

​​6:00 PM - Large Group photo – Color photo at $22 each due the night of the event.  Paid by cash, check, Visa, MC, & Discover, debit & credit.  Prints are mailed by within 2 to 4 weeks.  

​​6:30 PM - Short program with a live conversation between our Student Council President, Jim Hobbs & Gus Leimkuhler, a favorite – you may remember that the yearbook staff managed to secretly dedicate the Class of 1961 yearbook to him.  His stories & memories are amazing.  Following the short program, the class can enjoy more great conversation & camaraderie – no curfew.  Send your reservation & your check for $65 per person, made payable to NKCHS Class of 1961 to:  Jane Edwards Roney, 12300 State Route 33, Kearney, MO 64060.  If you have questions, contact:  Sandra Doolin Mellinger at sandrnmel23@gmail.com or 816-694-3328.

We have reserved a block of rooms at the Argosy for a reduced rate of $139/night per however, the cut-off date for this rate is Thursday, September 15, 2016 & reservations must be made prior to 12:00 am on that date.  You can make your reservations by call the main line at 816-746-3100 & identify the group as NKCH – Class of 1961 Reunion – Room Block.

NOTE:  RESERVATIONS for Saturday evening, October 1, 2016 MUST BE PAID & RECEIVED BY September 19, 2016.  GO HORNETS!!!

 

Here are the details for the field trip activity on Thursday, 9/29/2016

Join us on this field trip to CROWN CENTER for lunch…and one of the three (3) following options: (Select from below and prepay now!)

• 1:00 pm to 3:15pm –  Stay, Shop and Visit at Crown Center for 2 ¼ hours on your own with friends.  Admission is Free.  Shop at your own expense!

• 1:00 pm to 3:30 pm –  Catch bus at Crown Center for Union Station.  Tour Body Worlds Exhibit from 1:15 pm to 3:30 pm.  Admission Fee: $23.95; however, if we have 15 paid admissions received by Sept 14th, we will get a group rate and you will receive a $7.00 refund per paid reservations.

• 1:00 pm to 3:45 pm –  Catch bus at Crown Center for the Liberty Memorial.  Tour The WWI Museum from 1:30 pm to 3:45 pm.  Admission Fee: $12.00; however, if we  receive 15 paid admissions by Sept. 14th, we will get a group rate and you will receive a $2.00 refund per paid reservations.

Free bus transportation will be provided by the School District from NKC High School to Crown Center, to the tour venues, and back to the High School. (Capacity for 40 adults; only 1st forty reservations will be accommodated.)

11:30 am to 1:00 pm, lunch will be on your own at Crown Center where you will be able to visit with friends and select from a number of various eateries, menus and prices.

Arrive at NKC High School early to find parking.  We will start boarding the bus at10:30 am, at the East Side Entrance on Howell Street. The bus will leave promptly at 11:00 am for Crown Center and we will return by 4:30 pm. 

To qualify for the group rates by Sept. 14, please make your check payable now to: Bob Chizek, 55-Year Reunion Field Trip.  The total amount of your check should cover the total price of either the Body Worlds or WWI Museum Tours.  Please show the number of reservations required (X’s) full price.
