Jerry, Laura is correct, we all know how old we are and the important thing is to stay in touch and do this growing old together the best it can be.   My friends from high school are very "special" friends with only memories we can share.  It was a great mini-reunion and extra special that we could share our 70th birthday together.  Look forward to next year and many more to come.

There is no doubt in my mind (What I have left ).  That the NKC Class of 62 is the best in school History.  A big hand to the Reunion Committee for this web site and a HAPPY NEW YEAR MAY IT BE HAPPY AND ESPECIALLY HEALTHY FOR ALL IN OUR CLASS AND THEIR FAMILIES.

Claudia, you missed me by a couple of hundred miles and I cannot inflate my tires enough to drive to another island. Ha ha.

Have a wonderful time!

Jerry Livingston's Classmates,

I thought I'd let you know that Jerry was selected to receive the "Bob Woolley Award for Achievement in Music Ministry" Friday evening, Feb. 6, 2015. The award is given each year by Southwest Baptist University to honor those outstanding musicians who serve in a part-time capacity. The committee, representing SBU music faculty and the Worship Area of the Missouri Baptist Convention noted that Jerry's ministry exemplifies the kind of excellence that can be achieved by those doing ministry part-time. Needless to say, Jerry was shocked upon notification! He worte the Dean of the Music College back to let him know there are others much more qualified but he wasn't going to turn it down! By the way, his acceptance speech will be like no others. He is even going to play his pogo-cello.

Regards to all,

Sharon (Proud Wife)

I'm sorry that we could not make it to the mini-reunion.  We were in the middle of a move to a new town and house.  Hopefully will make the next on.

I'm really enjoying this here in Columbia, MO, where 98.67% of baseball fans are die-hard Cardinal fans.

So very true, Jerry...that bias was pretty obvious when listening to Joe Buck--until most Royals fans MUTED him!!!  Unfortunately, we might hear more of the same during the Series--no matter who's announcing...but this time we will prevail!!! So glad we have our Royals to cheer on since our Tigers are giving us nothing to cheer about.😪. GO ROYALS!!💙

Even up in South Dakota there are only a few Royal fan, but I'm enjoying it.

Go Royals, Keep it up.

A giant thank you to Bill, Jeannie and Richard for hosting another great evening I'm sure we won't soon forget.

It was great seeing everyone, and the candlelight was a really nice touch.  We all have shared the last 59 years together and let's hope for many more.

I'd like to echo Jan's kudos to our reunion organizers (you know who you are!)!  Despite the weather it was a great evening and in the candlelight we could disguise our wrinkles!  I didn't get to see as many classmates as I wanted but I got to connect with classmates I hadn't seen for a long time (or ever).  Sorry for those who I missed or who missed this reunion.  Looking forward to the next!

Many of you will recall the Northgate Jr. HS Swamp Signal. I was going through old files and came across a few issues so thought I would share two articles that may or may not bring back some old, old, old memories. From The Jan. 30, 1959, eddition we have the first with the heading: CANDIDATES CHOSEN FOR ANNUAL SWEETHEART BALL - Candidates for king and queen of the annual Sweetheart Ball were chosen last week by the boy's and girl's gym classes. Nominees for queen are Gail Blanche, Suzi Beagle, Gaile Kitterman, Patty Catlin, and Carol Dunbar. Larry schmidt, Rusty Stout, Jon Hayes, Mert McCann, and Scott Serrill are candidates for king. The dance is to be held Feb. 14, from 8 to 10:30 in the boy's gym. A band will provide dance music. Refreshments will be provided. A special feature will be the crowning of the king and queen. Last years royalty were Ralph Ager and Janice England.  The second is from the Feb. 27, 1959, eddition with the heading: SWEETHEART ROYALTY CROWNED BY FORMER KING AND QUEEN - With a trumpet's blare Gaile Kitterman and Larry Schmidt were announced as king and queen of the Sweetheart Ball Feb. 14. They were escorted to the thrones by Janice England and Ralph Ager as 300 people watched. The music was provided by a combo, the Jokers.   I hope this brought a smile to some or your faces. It did mine.
