Steve Norman was the kind of man who always had a joke ready to make you laugh. He had been a loving devoted son. He worked two jobs to support his young bride and the 3 children their love created. During the day he worked the steam press at his mother's dry cleaners when he finished there he then was off to work his nights at the Braniff reservation office till 1am. The long hours and even longer days brought some financial rewards but not without a price. As he succeeded at Braniff and as the dry cleaners took off his time away from his family caused there to be such distances between them. They were strangers to him as he was to them. The break up of Braniff and the distances of his family lead to the end of this marriage. He would later hire on with Northwest airlines whom he would spend the next 20 years with and in 1989 marry Gay Goodman. She remained his wife till his death.
