Larry Seever

On February 10, 2021 Larry Franklin Seever took Christ’s hand and walked through the Gates of Glory. He was happily greeted by his parents John and Janet (Kasten) Seever and his grandson Tyler Seever. Larry was born in Atchison, Kansas as the eldest of three children, Mary Hunter (Bradenton, FL) and Jerry Seever (Kansas City, MO). He grew up spending his childhood around his family, Grandma Seever and Grandma Kasten. The Seever family would gather for nearly every Sunday to eat, laugh and share in Atchison.

Larry graduated High School from North Kansas City in 1962. He is a veteran of the US Army as his father was, who served in WW II, European theater. Larry joined in 1962 and was stationed in Korea in optics. He was in the motorized band, a trained medic and spent leave time in Japan, which he loved. After his discharge from the United States Army, Larry went on to become an entrepreneur and business owner until he retired in 2010, years following an Alzheimer’s Disease diagnosis.

Larry married Mary Woods in 1965 and were blessed with three children Jeffery (Grain Valley, MO), Patrick (Kansas City, MO) and Amy Mooney (Des Moines, IA).

Larry later married Geraldine ‘Geri’ Seithers in 1975 and they were blessed with two daughters, Monica Ford (Jupiter, FL) and Natalie Carron (Palm Beach Gardens, FL).

Larry was greatly blessed with ten grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

Larry loved life, dancing, cooking, hunting, fishing and golfing. His children have followed in his footsteps, enjoying his hobbies and passions, and most importantly, share his strong faith and love in the Lord. His spirit, advice, and love has been missing for several years due to Alzheimer’s Disease, which stole his mind, yet his spirit lives in his wife, Geri and five children, who carry on.

I an really sorry to hear that Alzheimer's ruined Larry's (and his family's)  final years.  He was my 7th grade square dance partner and was an excellent dancer.  His bio listing dance as one of his favorites reminded me of all that fun.  Like so many others, I lost track of Larry but not the memories.  I wish his family solace
